Common Questions

1.  How do I open an account?

Opening an account with Vicus 24/7 is designed to be an intuitive, user-friendly process with clear directions to help you each step of the way.  There are three phases of the account opening process, each described below.

 Step #1:  Registration

Go to and click on “Let’s Get Started” on the homepage.  This will navigate you to a registration page.  Enter the required information to register, including your email address.  A confirmation email is sent to you to verify your registration.  Simply follow the instructions provided in the email to complete the registration process.

 Step #2:  The Questionnaire

*Please note:  Prior to proceeding through the remaining steps, please consider how you intend to fund your Vicus 24/7 account.  At this time, Vicus 24/7 is not able to transfer assets “in kind” that are currently invested in securities.  If you intend to fund your account with assets from an existing investment account, you must liquidate assets invested in securities into a money market sweep.  Please contact your financial advisor or the custodian of your existing account for assistance with liquidation.  If you are funding your Vicus 24/7 account from a bank account or if you have already liquidated your existing account, please proceed with the account opening process.

Upon completing your registration, you are now ready to begin the process of determining the portfolio that best suits your goals and objectives.  Simply click on the “Build Portfolio” button.  We will ask a series of questions designed to determine your risk score.  You will notice that as you respond to the questions, your portfolio is built and adjusted in real time.  After answering all the questions, you are presented with your final risk score and corresponding portfolio recommendation.  If you wish to change any of your answers, simply step back through the questions by clicking on any of your risk tolerance items listed on the right side of the screen or by clicking on the circles above the questions.

 Step #3:  Opening an Account

Once you are comfortable with your risk score and corresponding portfolio recommendation, click on “Open Account.”  At this point, we will gather the information necessary to create an account and you will tell us how you would like to fund your account, either through a bank account or transferring an existing investment account you have already liquidated into a money market sweep.

2.  I forgot my password.

On the login screen, simply click on “Forgot Password” and you will be prompted to enter the email address associated with your account.  An email will be sent to you.  Follow the instructions provided in the email to reset your password.

3.  I forgot the answers to my security questions.

If you are unable to answer your security questions, please contact Vicus Capital at or 855-558-4287.

4.  How do I reset my password or security questions?

After you have logged into your account, you can manage your profile by clicking on your name in the top right corner of the screen.  Within your profile, you have the ability to reset your password as well as the option to select your security questions and corresponding answers.

5.  Is there a minimum amount required to open an account?

The minimum dollar amount to open an account with Vicus 24/7 is $2,500.

6.  What type of accounts can I open?

Vicus 24/7 currently supports taxable investment accounts including Individual and Joint accounts.  We also support qualified investment accounts including Traditional IRAs and Roth IRAs.

7.  Can I open an account if I live outside of the U.S.?

We currently require all Vicus 24/7 clients to have a U.S. social security number and have a U.S. mailing address of record.

8.  How old do I have to be to open an account?

Any individual 18 or older, who is a legal U.S. resident or a U.S. citizen with a social security number and U.S. mailing address of record may open an account with Vicus 24/7.

9.  Can I open multiple accounts?

You are welcome to open as many accounts as you require as long as each meets the minimum investment amount of $2,500.

10.  Where are my assets held?

Assets invested with Vicus 24/7 are custodied at TD Ameritrade Institutional, a division of TD Ameritrade, Inc., member FINRA/SIPC.
